Welcome! SoapStone Farm remains small, producing only a few foals per year, which allows me the time to do what I love - and that is to work with the horses. I purchased my first miniature eleven years ago, started him driving and was hooked! I have had horses for twenty some years, with the last eleven being exclusively miniature.
A beautiful sunset at SoapStone Farm
I have collected a group of mares that have been Nat'l Level Champions and or produced Nat'l Level foals. With the purchase of Winsome Monarch Transition of Power, son of World Champion Sierra Dawn Unos Monarch, who is out of the Legendary Uno De Mayo, I will be dedicating my goal to continuing his tradition of producing National and World caliber get. As they say, a great stallion is not so much what he has accomplished-but what he leaves behind!
Most horses are double or triple registered. My traditional dairy barn has been renovated with comfortable stalls and run-ins for the mini's. All recieve pasture in summer as I believe in staying as close to natural as possible for the horses. I also love to drive and have trails on my property, along with a grassed large outdoor arena. I occasionally have time to show in halter classes and enjoy that very much.
Visitors Welcome anytime!!
We also have a herd of elk, ranging from 30-50 head known as Elkway Farm. Antler sheds are sometimes available. Of course no place would be complete without a dog and a cat that have been here a long time!
Thank you for visiting!
